NATIONAL FINALS OF FENASSCO LEAGUE A GAMES: MVOMEKA'A DELIVERS ON THE PROMISES OF A SUCCESSFUL BET
This was witnessed during the official ceremony to launch the national finals of FENASSCO LEAGUE A GAMES, held at the Paul Biya multi-purpose complex of Mvomeka'a, on Sunday, 31 July 2022.
The ceremony which brought together over half a dozen of cabinet ministers was rich in pomp and fanfare with blessings from the custodians of the tradition from the South Region. The epic ritual performed at the opening of the ceremony reassured both officials and athletes from the ten regions of Cameroon of a competition free of accidents and other casualties.
This august aureole was further magnified by, Christian Mebiam, the Mayor of Meyomessala, in his welcome address. He thanked Prof Nalova Lyonga for choosing the mythical town of Mvomeka'a to host the 22nd Edition of the national finals of FENASSCO League “A” Games. He invited athletes to express their sporting talents with friendliness drawing on the charisma of His Excellency President Paul Biya, a distinguished son of Mvomeka'a.
To Minister Nalova Lyonga, the choice of Mvomeka'a is God given and deserves everyone's attention. As a matter of fact, from 30 July to 6 August 2022, Mvomeka'a will draw the Nation's attention for a full week through the cultural and sporting jamboree FENASSCO League “A” Games happen to be.
The parade of ten delegations packed with messages designed around the theme of the Games, School games for peace and unity in diversity, the spectacular cultural parade performed by the youth of Sangmelima as well as the female football encounter between the East Region represented by GHS Belabo, and the South Region represented by GBHS Sangmelima, are harbingers of a more stunning come together of all the sons and daughters of Cameroon.
The 22nd Edition of the national finals of FENASSCO League “A” Games bring together 1940 athletes drawn from Secondary Schools and Teacher's Training Colleges nationwide. They will compete in 12 sporting events, including track and field events, arm wrestling, Badminton, basketball, football, gymnastics, handball, judo, wrestlings, table tennis, volleyball and paralympic table tennis.
