Créée en 2005, la Délégation Régionale des Enseignements Secondaires e L’Extrême-Nord à Maroua DRES EN, dans une maison en location de 03 étages, est située au quartier Bikordi, Arrondissement de Maroua III.
Quatre (4) Délégués Régionaux ont eu à diriger cette structure. Au tout début, monsieur ABAKAKA MOUSSA a occupé le premier poste après la transition Minetfop/Mineduc/Minesec jusqu’en 2009. Ensuite suivra monsieur MAHAMA MAHAMAT jusqu’en 2017, puis monsieur HAMADAMA DJAFAROU en 2018.
The Regional Delegation of Secondary Education for the Far-North
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Created in 2005, the Regional Delegation of Secondary Education for the Far-North region based in Maroua (RDSE–FN) is found in a 3-storey rented building at the Bikordi neighbourhood, Maroua III Sub-Division.
So far, four (4) Regional Delegates have headed the delegation. In the early days, Mr ABAKAKA MOUSSA was the pioneer delegate who held the position from inception till 2009 after the transition from Minetfop/Mineduc/MINESEC. Then, Mr HAMADAMA DJAFAROU took over from Mr MAHAMA MAHAMAT who held the post until 2017. By 2019/2020, this delegation had six Divisional Delegations, namely Diamare, Logoneet Chari, Mayo-Danay, Mayo-Kani, Mayo-Sava and Mayo-Tsanaga.
In all, this Region is home to 379 schools with 218,477 students. Mr WANGBOUSSOUN Pierre is the current Regional Delegate.
